Summer Training
Training is offered at Campbell Oval for athletes registered with Canterbury Little Athletics, in U8s and above ONLY on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 5:00 – 6:00pm throughout the season.
Training is not offered to children under these age groups and if present on training evenings, children MUST be supervised by a parent/carer off the field. Any questions or concerns should be directed to the secretary at secretary.clac@gmail.com.
Cross-country training may be offered in May-June 2017 if there is sufficient interest.
Any athletes who are found without adult supervision will be asked to sit out of training.

Rules for Training
1. Athletes are to sign in with current registration number and age group on arrival. (no unregistered athletes are able to participate, due to insurance reasons)
2. Only people who are on the sign on sheet to be on the field, for insurance reasons spectators and/or children not participating in training must not be on the field.
3. Training is for athletes in U8 and above only.
4. Athletes require a supervising adult at all times to remain at the field in case of emergency or cancellation of training due to bad weather. Any athlete found unsupervised will be unable to participate in training.
5. Independent practice must be supervised by a volunteer adult. Both athlete and supervisor must sign in for insurance reasons. Independent practice must follow safety guidelines. Organised coaching groups will take precedence over independent individuals and, if it is offered, please follow the safety advice and direction of coaches.
6. As on competition nights, no athletes should be walking across the field when throwing events are taking place. All athletes participating in track training are to stay off the field and walk around the outside of the track if needing to cross to the other side of the field.
7. All athletes are to follow the instructions of coaching staff at all times.
We welcome any parents with expertise who would like to get involved in our training program, with such large numbers we can always do with more pairs of hands.
