LANSW State Relay Championships

The first championship event of the season provides great fun for all competitors. Canterbury has a proud record in the State Relays and it’s an honour to represent our centre at this event.  Events are offered for U8 and above across both track and field events. CLAC Age Managers will make team selections based on Point Score Competition (Friday night) results. Once contacted, please notify your Age Manager immediately if you’re not available so that the next athlete can be selected.

For the sprint relays, training will be conducted two times a week in the four weeks prior to the Championships. It’s essential that athletes attend these sessions to allow enough time to finalise baton changes.

Any questions can be directed to our Championship Officer, Steve Laws: championship.officer@clac.org.au.

IMPORTANT: A condition of selection for all of the LANSW Championship Events is that each family conducts a volunteer session to help with the running of the Championship (this is applicable to all LA Centres attending). Families will have the opportunity to nominate from the available sessions, with CLAC allocating any remaining sessions. Unfortunately, non-completion of the volunteer session will result in forfeiture of the CLAC Duty Bond and may impact on future representative participation.
