Canterbury Athletics Club, like all Little Athletics, is community powered. To maintain fairness amongst our members, Duty Bond is taken once, per family, at registration. See Step 5 for more info.
Getting ready for the 2026/27 season
Step 1: Complete the Canterbury Athletics Registration
Have your Active Kids Voucher ready (if relevant) beforehand.
Note that Duty Bond is payable once, per family each season. If you have multiple athletes registering, you’ll need to use the code provided in the link.
Step 2: Join the Canterbury Athletics WhatsApp community
The WhatsApp community link will be sent to your email upon successful registration, which is where all official messages will be shared. In the 2026/27 season, returning athletes born in 2021 (now 6s), 2011 (now 16s-U20s) and 2007 (now Opens) will need to change WhatsApp group chats.
Step 3: Add these key dates to your calendar
- Registration Pick Up is Sunday 30 August 4:00 – 5:30pm
Campbell Athletic Field, Princess St Canterbury. You’ll receive a new registration bib and age patch for each athlete as part of your Registration Pack for the season. New-to-Canterbury members will be asked to provide proof of age for each new athlete. You can also drop off pre-loved uniforms and shoes looking for a new home here. - Opening Competition night is Friday 4 September
See you there for a 6:00pm competition start! Athletes will meet their Age Manager on the field, with their age group listed on the back of their orange vests.
Step 4: If required, order a new singlet or crop top from Canterbury Athletics Uniform
Free Club pick up is available for a limited time. Order by:
- 9am Tuesday 25 August for Registration Pick Up day collection
- 9am Tuesday 8 September for collection from Friday 11 September (Second comp week)
Athletes are expected to wear the Canterbury blue singlet or crop top with any black shorts for Friday night club comp and when representing the club at Athletics NSW run events.
New season bib number and age group patches must be attached in correct positions. Use safety pins if required.
Step 5: Sign up for 8 different nights of duty , including 1 Canteen/ BBQ session and 1 Track Marshall session.
Duty Bond is collected at registration and will be refunded at the end of season for all families that complete 8 separate nights of Duty across the season, including 1 Track Marshall session and 1 Canteen or BBQ session. There’s plenty of opportunities to get involved, see Duties.
You’ll still need to check in using the QR code at the completion of each session for the Duty to count toward the 8 nights. Duty is counted once per family, per night only.
As a general guide, you should aim to complete duty at least once every two weeks to meet Duty Bond requirements.
Step 6: Sign up to ResultsHQ to track progress and development across the season
Click the red ‘Family log in‘ quick link at top right to access or the blue hyperlink above.
You must use the same email address that you registered your child with for their Athletics NSW membership, or you’ll need to lodge a support ticket with Timing Solutions to have your accounts merged.
