Registrations are now open for the 2024-25 season!
There are some changes to registration this year, because of the alignment of Little Athletics and Athletics NSW which now streamlines membership costs and administration processes, while expanding competition opportunities.
When you register, even if you have been with Canterbury Athletics for a while, you might need to register as a new member. In summary:
- If your athlete was a dual member last year (you have a state ID number), you will be registering them as a returning member.
- If you don’t have a state ID number and have never been a dual member, you will need to register as a new member. (If you’re not sure, you can try searching for your athlete’s name and date of birth.)
- You may see some changes to the age groups – just follow the prompts, but if you want more info you can read this information which explains age groups under the new system.
The fee this year is $155 per athlete. If you are eligible for an active kids voucher, you’ll be able to use this during the registration process.
This year the duty bond fee of $150, has been incorporated into the registration fee. However each family only needs to pay this fee once, this means you will need to use a discount code for any 2nd, 3rd, 4th or more children. The code is:

The code will remove $150 from your registration fee each time it is used, it can be used multiple times in the one transaction. Please make sure that one duty bond is showing at the checkout. For example if you have two children, you will need to apply the code once, if you have 3 children you will need to apply the code twice and so on.
This fee will be refunded at the end of the season if you volunteer 8 times throughout the season.
Please make sure that you register all of your children at one time, because there are fees associated with this new platform, and registering once will minimise these fees.
Please note that the system will ask you for a birth certificate, you do not need to upload this document at the time of registration; you can bring it to the registration pick ups. If you have previously registered with Canterbury Athletics, you do not need to show your birth certificate.
