Congratulations to all 74 Canterbury athletes who have qualified to compete in the Region 8 Littles State Qualifier Carnival (U9-U12). This is a huge number and a great result for our club!
We submitted entries for all athletes who met the qualifying standard. You may be surprised to find you have been selected and if so, we encourage you to go along, take part and have fun.
Find out who has qualified and view the Full List of Canterbury Athletes here. We will also have teams entered in the Junior Boys, Junior Girls, Senior Boys and Senior Girls 4x100m relay teams – athletes are to be confirmed.
The carnival will be held in Sylvania Waters on Friday, 5 February (from 6.30pm) and Saturday 6 February. View 2021 Region 8 Qualifying Meet Draft Program here.
Competing in this carnival is the only way to earn your place at the LANSW Littles State Championships at SOPAC (20-21 March 2021).
Our Championship Officer, Jenny Greenhalgh will be in touch via email with each selected athlete’s family to confirm whether your child will be taking part. Please advise her if your child will be withdrawing from any or all of the events in which they’ve been selected ASAP. If you already know that you won’t be competing, please email her at championship.officer@clac.org.au.
U13-17 Athletes: Nominations for direct entry into the LANSW Youth State Championships will open this coming Monday, 18 January. Please go to www.lansw.com.au/championships/ to complete the nomination form. Entries will close on 21 February.
Multi-Class Athletes: Entries can be submitted direct to LANSW for both the Littles and Youth State Championships. Further information and Multi-Class entry details can be found here:
