Here’s some key information to update you on a few changes prior to tomorrows season opener:
Arrival
Due to COVID restrictions there will be no group warm up as originally planned and indicated in the handbook. Competition will commence at 6pm. Please do not arrive prior to 5.45pm unless you are on field set up duty.
There are to be strictly no spectators or non registered siblings at competition, with our numbers we are at capacity and can only allow for 1 parent/carer per family.
Check in
All adults must check in by QR code which will be displayed at various points around the grounds.
Information Desk
There will be an information desk available for any questions. For new athletes there is the option to tap into a buddy system, please come and see us to get a ‘new athlete’ wrist band which will help your age manager identify you as new.
Parent Duties
Parents performing duties MUST have booked their duty via Sign Up prior to arriving. Please head straight to your duty area, where you will check yourself in via an addition QR code. There will be no shared volunteer vests this season.
Uniforms
Click and collect uniforms will be available from the uniform table. Please ensure all purchases have been made by Thursday night.
Where to go
Athletes will need to head directly to the first field event for their age group. This is indicated by the event that is shaded green in your handbook under the Weekly series. We will be running on weekly series A tomorrow.
For insurance purposes only parents that have signed up to perform a duty are permitted on the field (parents of Tiny Tot athletes are permitted to remain with that group). You may accompany your child to their first field event but will need to leave the field as soon as an age manager is present.
Please maintain social distancing at all times.
Masks
Whilst not compulsory, CLAC encourages adults on the field to wear a mask.
Canteen
The canteen will not be accepting cash payments this season. Card tap and go will be in operation. Please maintain social distancing when queuing and follow the entry and exit points.
Collection Point
There will be an announcement when your age groups have completed their events and athletes can be collected from the collection point outside the toilet block.
Please leave the grounds promptly as soon as all your events are completed.
