Centre Training

Canterbury Athletics has a great team of coaches to support athletes through regular training sessions.

The focus for Canterbury Athletics training is technique and skill acquisition across the event groups. Training sessions are not compulsory but highly recommended for athletes to learn how to perform and improve at their events in a smaller group setting.

Training sessions are held at Campbell Athletic Field, Princess St unless advised in the WhatsApp community chat.

These training sessions are offered at no extra charge for Full Members and Community Members to the relevant age groups listed.

Little Athletics training:

Monday evenings, from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm for 7s to U20s.

Wednesday evenings, from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm for 7s to U20s.

A parent or carer for all athletes aged under 16 years must be present at the ground at all times during training. If a child is found present without supervision, they will be unable to participate in the training session and a parent or carer will be called to collect them.

No training will be held during school holidays or on public holidays unless otherwise communicated.

Check the CLAC Training WhatsApp chat before you go. Any changes will be advised there.

Seniors Athletics training:

Sunday mornings, from 9:00 am – 10:30 am for U20s+

Tuesday evenings, from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm for U20s+

Little Athletics family and friends are encouraged to join as Community Members for just $50 and can attend training sessions all season. See Registration page for more details or reach out to seniors@clac.org.au

Confirm your attendance in the Seniors WhatsApp chat prior to each session.
