Canterbury Athletics Club, like all Little Athletics, is powered by volunteers. Our Friday night competitions wouldn’t be possible without volunteers, including Age Managers, Committee Members, specialist volunteers and casual volunteers.

To maintain fairness amongst our members, a duty bond is taken at registration. This is refunded at the end of season for all families that complete the duty requirement of 8 nights, per family, including 1 Canteen or BBQ session across the season.

Registration Guide:

Step 1: If relevant, have your Active Kids Voucher ready

 

Step 2: Complete Canterbury Athletics Registration

When Registering for Multiple Kids

  • To ensure accurate Duty Bond charged on a per-family basis, use code DUTYBOND in the Discount code field for each additional child AFTER your first. Please check carefully, as it requires significant work to fix up.
  • Please register for all kids in the same transaction to keep the minor fees incurred for system transactions down. Before finalising payment, click “Register another member” to move to the next child. DO NOT click “Start again”.

 

Returning Member

You’ll register as a Returning Member if you were registered with Little Athletics NSW (LANSW) for the 2025/26 season; a dual athlete with LANSW and Athletics NSW last year or with a Seniors Club.

  1. Select ‘Returning Member’
  2. Complete the name, date of birth and
  3. Gender of your child (National ID not required)
  4. Click ‘Next Step’
  5. A message will be sent to the email address used for registration last year

New Member

  1. Select ‘New Member’
  2. Click ‘Next Step’ and follow the prompts

The system will ask you for a birth certificate. You do not need to upload a copy, instead bring it to Registration Pick Up day.

Fees are comprised of the following:

  • Athletics NSW State Fee
  • Canterbury Athletics Club Fee
  • Duty Bond, payable once per family, per season. See note for multiple kids above.

 

Step 3: Order the Canterbury Athletics Uniform

Club pick up is available when you order on the Sports Magic website by Sunday 31 August. Uniforms must be pre-ordered, there will be no additional stock available for purchase at Canterbury Athletics Club. Some orders will be available at Registration Pick Up, the rest can be picked up on the Friday comp night – this is based on stock availability & order of purchase.

Athletes must wear a Canterbury blue and white singlet or crop top for Friday night comp and when representing the club at Championship and inter-club events. Club uniform is not expected to be worn for club training sessions.

Current season bib number and age group patches must be attached correctly to the Canterbury top. Use safety pins if required.

 

Step 4: Sign up for 8 nights of duty, including 1 Canteen or BBQ session 

You’ll still need to check in through the QR code at the end of each night/ session for the duty to be counted.

As a general guide, you should aim to complete duty at least once every two weeks to meet Duty Bond requirements.

 

Step 4: Join the Canterbury Athletics WhatsApp community

The WhatsApp community link will be sent to your email upon successful registration. This is where official messages will be shared.

Registration Pick Up for the 2025/26 season is Sunday 31 August 4:00 – 5:30pm at Campbell Field, Canterbury. You’ll receive a new bib for each child as part of your Registration Pack for the season. New members will be required to provide proof of age.

First Competition night of the season is Friday 5 September. See you there at 6:00 pm!

 

Step 5: Sign up to ResultsHQ to track progress across the season

Click the red ‘Family log in‘ quick link at top right to access or the blue hyperlink above.

You must use the same email address that you registered your child with for their Athletics NSW membership, or you’ll need to lodge a support ticket with Timing Solutions to have your accounts merged.
